Classes

Rachel Clare has been running Vegetarian Cooking Classes for 2 years now. The classes are one-day workshops that include:

  • 2 finger food recipes
  • 2 entrée recipes
  • 1 soup recipe
  • 2 main meal recipes
  • 2 dessert recipes (1 vegan)

All the recipes are highly nutritious, well balanced and delicious! Rachel demonstrates the recipes with some participation from the students in an informal, open setting, where students are able to ask questions freely and openly. There is a limit of 6 students per class, creating a friendly, intimate atmosphere. Small breaks will be taken between each dish to give you a chance to taste the prepared food. Rachel Clare has done food tours of Japan, Vietnam and Thailand, so these recipes enjoy a variety of cultural influences.

Workshop topics for 2009 are as follows:

Everyday cooking to ensure high intake of iron
Everyday vegan cooking
Writing your own recipes – learning to combine flavours using common ingredients you might have in the cupboard
Vegetarian dinner party
Vegetarian cocktail party (consisting of 6 savoury and 2 sweet finger food recipes)
Vietnamese and Thai cooking

The classes are held in Greenwich from 10am-4pm. The day costs $130 per person for single bookings, or $110 for bookings of 2 people or more. Prices include a take-home recipe book of the meals demonstrated in the class.
